Job Description

Our Client is a well known group of companies who offer services across a number of inter-connected industries and they are looking to hire a Head of Oil, Gas & Engineering Projects to report directly to the Group CEO in Limassol.

Key Performance Objectives:

Handles all incoming Oil, Gas and other Projects by providing Consulting, Design, Financial and Employee Development Services, Provides Knowledge, Clients. 

Project /Practice Management

Manages the strategic aspects of large engagements and mitigates any risk.

Oversees senior managers and managers working on client engagements within practice.

Reviews high-level deliverables across practice.

Ensures engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures take place for all practice engagements.

Develops, implements, and maintains sound business practices.

Develops and implements strategic objectives for practice that are aligned with the region's strategic initiatives. 

Provides sound consulting services

Design Engineering and Design Management Services

Project Planning and Planning Management Services

Establish Project Management Procedures

Define project scope and objectives and produce Project Execution Plans (PEP's)

Review status of all project works and direct respective Group Leaders to take necessary measures to ensure compatibility with the overall schedule

Perform all design/engineering activities including planning and the preparation of any and all drawings

Ensure Company's Corporate objectives, standards, policies, procedures and guidelines are developed/implemented in compliance with Quality Management System/Client requirements

Review and/or approve all major change orders. Periodically review change order controls to determine their adequacy and whether change orders are executed in a timely manner.

Organizational Responsibilities:

Innovator Development -

Participates in all programs and enforces all policies relating to performance evaluations and career development planning.

Reviews management evaluations for consistency.

Impresses upon management the importance of the career planning and performance evaluation programs.

Creates an environment where Innovators can successfully achieve professional career path goals.

Manages the development of project managers and senior managers.

Assigns tasks to practice management that give managers an opportunity to grow. Establish evaluative processes for evaluating progress and achievements toward the project goals (this process includes both team and individual progress/ performance reviews)

Internal Operation

Reviews status reports of Project Managers and Senior Managers and addresses issues as appropriate

Lends expertise to internal teams and task forces.

Enforces standard policies and procedures.

Financial Management

Develops and meets revenue and other financial goals for practice.

Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization across practice.

Manages the negotiation of contract pricing when necessary.

Report change/supplemental work to the Company's Financial Control Department. Prepare description of change proposal

Project Financials

Projects Cost Control and Cost Management Services

Projects Procurement and Expediting Services

Reports profit and loss figures. 

Review and recommend budget proposals for different projects

Consolidates and analyses profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization across practice.

Assistance in creating pipeline forecasts and broad-based financial picture for practice.

Addresses and resolves all billing issues.

Ensures practice meets or exceeds budgeted financial objectives, including revenue and margin.

Business Development

Provides leadership and guidance in all aspects of the sales cycle.

Takes a lead role in monitoring the identification and development of strategic accounts.

Involves, as appropriate, our sales team in order to achieve sales goals.

Manages business development on a strategic level for practice.

Grows long-term relationships with clients and capitalizes on equity and partnership opportunities. 

Be responsible for monitoring and dispensing projects costs within the approved budget

Communication

Ensures practice is well informed, at all times, of changes and news worthy events within our company.

Effectively communicates relevant practice information to superiors.

Promotes us through speaking engagements at industry conferences and involvement in local business organizations.

Attend periodic meetings with the Company's Client to review progress, discuss changes in work, resolve problems raised between the Client and the Company

Obtain the Company's Client's approval for field design change

Provides senior level resolution to client issues.

Inspection and NDT Advisory Services 

Surveying Services

Quantity Surveying Services

Interpret designs, drawings, specifications and provide technical advice to Sub-Contractors, QA/QC Department explaining requirements of design specifications consistent with good construction practice

Review and/or approve engineering documents i.e. drawings, specifications and requisitions

Develop and/or review and/or approve work procedures, schedules prepared by Sub Contractors and Vendors 

Ensure that project work proceeds in accordance with the quality assurance plan

Design and Planning

Offshore and Marine Engineering Design and Facilities Design Services

Construction Management and Construction Planning Services

Commissioning and Commissioning Management Services

Review all non-conformance and concession reports

Prepare the disposition plan for non-conformance items, in coordination with the Company's QA/QC Department and authorize disposition after approval by the Company's Client

Staff Management and deployment:

Reinforces team approach throughout practice both on client projects and internal initiatives.

Supports and solicits input from team members at all levels within the organization.

Ensures regular team and practice events take place away from the office.

Provides leadership

Review and/or approve required manpower assignment and forecast for each project.

Overseeing, reviewing and directing the actions of the Company's team members' assignments and projects

Coaching and development of assigned personnel to whichever projects the Contractor is managing

Outlining work process management that includes People Management, Work Process Detailing, Information Management, Client, Vendor and Subcontractor Relationship Management

Ensure Company's Project employees are participating in all organization level activities 

Ensure Company's Project employees and site-based personnel are abiding to the policies and procedures of Company

Ensure Project employees and site-based personnel are in compliance with all the programs implemented by HR&A team

Handles difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion, HR advice, and respect for the individual.
